Postpartum Rehabilitation

Women experience many musculoskeletal and hormone level changes during pregnancy and after delivery. During the stage just after delivery, as hormone levels and body metabolic rate rapidly change, abdominal and pelvic floor muscle weakness becomes more obvious. In addition, low back pain, heel pain, and breast feeding problems may appear. United Family Healthcare (UFH) tailors rehabilitation for new moms, programming individually to assist them smoothly through the postpartum period in an effort to restore health and build confidence.
