Pediatric Dermatology

The baby’s skin is delicate, and the skin barrier function has not yet been fully formed. Compared to adult, children are more likely to get skin problems. In addition, children usually cannot convey their symptoms by words well in language. So when parents notice it, their problems get worse. Parents and adults under guardianship should carefully observe children’s’ skin condition. If any abnormalities are found, please ask for medical care as soon as possible.

Introduction:

Pediatric Dermatology is located in the Dermatology Department, which helps the children with skin problems from newborn to teenagers. According to different characteristics and symptoms of each child, dermatologists, guided by the health concept of “skin is one organ, pay attention to the body and find out the right reason leading to the skin problem”, to conduct personalized and systematic analysis.

In addition to routine examinations, we have various kinds of characteristic examinations: allergen testing, food intolerance analysis, secretion culture, skin & nail fungal examination, nevus check with non-invasive dermatoscopy, skin pathology, etc., to comprehensively help identify the cause of the disease and develop reasonable treatment plans.

Besides, we cooperated with the Japanese Ortho-Molecular Nutritional Medicine Society, using skin care and accurate nutrition instead of steroid cream mainly, to help babies and mothers with some difficult skin problems, for example eczema. Also, safe and comfortable environment, cautious medicine application, detailed skin care guidance and minutia consideration in clinical treatment, etc. to protect children’s physical and mental health in maximum extent.
