Qingdao United Family Hospital encourages preventive health and offers a full range of women’s health services, meeting women’s needs at all stages of life. Our Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) team performs a complete range of health services, including routine gynecologic checkups with PAP smears, reproductive health screening and treatment, mammogram screening for the early detection of breast cancer, birth control advice and prescriptions, osteoporosis screening and prevention programs, and menopause management. Additionally, a wide range of gynecological surgical procedures are available, including laparoscopy.

Birthing Center

As the first international birthing center with Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) birthing suites, United Family Healthcare has delivered more than 15,000 babies since it opened. Our QDU birthing center offers unsurpassed care to mothers during delivery in a comfortable, luxurious setting equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology.

Internationally-trained doctors, midwives, and nurses attend to mothers and their babies during all phases of pregnancy and delivery. Cesarean section and epidural anesthesia are readily available when needed. In addition, our hospital has a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for premature babies and newborns who require additional medical attention.

Within the safe and comfortable environment of the LDRP birthing suite, family members are encouraged to participate in the birthing experience. Mothers can experience optimal comfort with labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum all within the same suite. Our birthing suites offer a unique birthing experience to families while delivering the highest standard of medical care. The hospital is also equipped to handle births that require emergency assistance, anesthesia and surgery.

QDU provides many support services for the care of parents and their babies, including pregnancy and childbirth education classes, color Doppler ultrasound, postpartum visits, and breastfeeding support groups.
