Biography
Dr. Zhang Rujin completed his medical degree at Shandong Weifang Medical College. He then pursued a medical master and doctoral degree in Anesthesiology at Peking Union Medical College (PUMC, now merged with Tsinghua University) and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS).
Dr. Zhang rotated at the Weifang Medical College affiliate hospital, Qilu Hospital, an affiliate of Shandong University, and finished his residency at the Plastic Surgery Hospital and Peking Union Medical College Hospital, PUMC, and CAMS. He then worked in Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, an affiliate of Capital Medical University. During this period, he passed the selection test and spent a year abroad in the Department of Anaesthesia & Surgical Intensive Care at Singapore General Hospital as a clinical anesthesia fellow in Singapore. He left Beijing again for the University of Western Ontario, Canada, and passed the Pre-Entry Assessment Period, difficult even for a Canadian anesthesiologist. Dr. Zhang then successfully worked at the London Health Sciences Centre as a clinical cardiac anesthesia fellow for one year and a thoracic/vascular anesthesia fellow for two years.
Dr. Zhang is skilled in obstetrical anesthesia and pediatric anesthesia. He is well-versed in epidural management for labor pain and experienced in acute pain management for surgical patients. To better benefit his patients, Dr. Zhang has a focus on evidence-based clinical results, methodology, and core skills during his daily practice.
Dr. Zhang joined United Family Healthcare as a senior consultant in Beijing in 2012, and joined Qingdao United Family Hospital in 2015.
Dr. Zhang has published papers in several Chinese and English medical journals. He has attended and also presented at international medical conferences in order to keep up to date with the latest trends progress and anesthesiology knowledge.
